Hello Gurus
What is the best way of posting freight during goods movement.
i have a scenario where the freights are posting to PPV account in sub contracting process
Some of the scenarios where the Freight is not posted to correct GL accounts
can some one tell me the best practices to post freight. We have a custome program which does that.
thank You
David

Configuration related to Freight are done in OBYC. It all depend upon the setting you have done in the system .Check the setting done in OBYC

David,
Assuming you are talking about standard functionality where we do our configuration in OBYC as Veenu said.
If it is custom program then If you can elaborate more what exactly you mean there is a lot of various ways to do things in SAP as you said you have custom programs which is posting freight it is very difficult here to understand the custom program here until we know what it does?

Hrusikesh,
Based upon the postings made to the RMs or HAWA GL account the program will post below entries
1- Adjust Freight value to the freight raw material Inventory ( FRMI) based on % associated with the material group when there is goods reciept and reversal of goods reciept or an RMA
2-Decrement the freight FRMI account when material is issued to a production order.
Now the problem is Freight is not posting to Goods issue outside buys, transfer of materials from one plant to another, and Inventory adjustment/Cycle count.
I hope i made it clear and is understandable.
Thank You
David
