Barcode printer settings for SAP Scripts

Hi guys,

I am facing an issue while printing the script form on different logical printers: -

Scenario:

One physical printer, two logical printers associated to it - A and B.

Issue

Printing script form using A --> Barcode not printed

Printing script form using B --> Barcode printed.

Why barcode is not getting printed for A ? 😔

Requisite checks performed:

1) Checked the spools for both print requests (SP01): -

Barcode seen in both the spools

2) Checked the print preview for both the print requests: -

Barcode seen in both the print previews.

3) Checked SPAD:

Logical printer settings are same. Same device type.

4) Checked SE73:

Printer barcode settings are maintained with respect to Device type (which is same for both logical printers).

Am I missing something ? Please advise ?

    Hello Shreya.

Did you check the printer barcode settings (SE73) in PRD?

Whether the settings are same in DVT/QAS and PRD?

Whether A prints barcode from DVT/QAS?

    Kindly check.

    Regards.

    Hi,

Is it mandatory in your requirement ,that you have to generate BAR CODE through SCRIPT?

    Can smart forms replace that?

    Thanks

    Gourav.

Are the two SPAD definitions referencing same printer in spool server or two logical printer on the spool server (check tab Access Method as well as tray info or print options) In this case what are the differences betweent the two printers ? (If there are none, why using 2 printers ?)

    Regards,

    Raymond
