documentation

hi folks,

I need to prepare the documentation of the work that I have done in the forms and related abap. I have not worked on documentation before hence I do not have a clue about it, Can anyone help me with a sample as how to write the documentation of the SAP work just to get the idea and method as how to do it?

    Vinu,

    I am not clear over your problem, but I am assuming that you are asking abt preparing the technical specs for the work you had done so far.

    It all depends on the documentation tool you are using. The format differs for different tools but the requirement and functionality is same.

    There is lotus notes, service center, Solution manager from SAP and many be some more. What you have to do is explain the work you have done by attaching the proper approvals and functional specs or req desc. in your document.

    You have to attach the test cases, screen shots of the test results, transactio code/report name/form name etc if any in the doc.

    You may also require to attach the expected results and actual results in the test case section.

    And more important thing is the documentation all depends on CMP followed in your organisation.

    Hi Vinu,

    I think you should ask for the template used for your project. Normally every project has templates for all kind of documents. Documentation very much depends on standards used for the project.
