Kumar,

This is a know issue with WebI when using BICS connection.  The problem is that Query stripping is checked off by default when creating Query against BICS.  There a better option in BI 4.1 w/ SP1 but BI 4.x you need UN-check Query stripping, see below.

Kumar,

What patch version of BI 4.0 are you running?   This could be another issue that was resolved by SP6.

Hi,

Please check below thread:

https://scn.sap.com/thread/2075950

Here same issue has been discussed. Usually this error comes when measures have database delegated in universe.

Hi Kumar,

If you are having any Input controls, filter bars or Block filters drag the same object in to the layout, this will solve your issue.

Change the measure aggregation from database delegated to sum in universe

same problem comes with bics connection also.

This is a result of the Measure Aggregation property set to "Delegated", which means that the measure value has to be computed by the datasource. As a result any drill down actions require the measure to be recomputed by the datasource resulting in #TOREFRESH which requires a manual refresh.

If you have generated a universe (.unv) from a BEx query, you can change the aggregation property in the generated universe.

For a BEx query based WEBI using BICS connection, I think key figures with Exception aggregation defined in BEx query might give you the same issue.

Hi Vineet,

I am having the same problem.

I changed the key figure properties and kept an exception aggregation on average.

And I can see #### Symbols in my report in webi, which is built on BICS connection.

Can I change the properties of my corresponding measure in webi?

When I go to that particular measure, its showing, number aggregation, and data base delegated.

but I want to change the object property to function sum, instead of data base delegated.

How can I do that?

Any help is highly appreciated.

Thanks.

If you are using BICS connection, then you have no opportunity to change the aggregation property in the webi. You might be able to turn off the exception aggregation in BEx query and build a formula in webi using "for each" or " for all " operators

Hi Vineet,

We were using SAP BO 4.0.

Once I did the refresh,I was able to get the values in place of #####.

Thanks,

Sruthi.
