Hi  Expert,  I am using SSM 7.5. I have created around 45 strategy Maps. But KPI associated with objectives are not appearing when I am clicking on objectives.  These KPIs are displaying in Scorecard correctly. Please suggest.   Thanks Arvind Shukla

Arvind,

Have you run the Calculate all Scorecard Objects in the Scheduler? You need to do this to 'push' them through. You can do this either as a one off to check that this pushes them through but normally you would schedule this to update regularly.

A good idea to run the Scorecard Alerts first as well!

In the Strategy Map definition, you can select which KPIs and objectives you want to display. Can you make sure those KPIs appear selected?

In addition, the calculation job calculates the KPIs status for the latest period for which you have data in the PAS. Make sure it is not trying to calculate the status for a month for which you don't have data for most of the KPIS. For example, if you insert the targets for the whole 2013 in the PAS, and the Actuals up to August, the calculate scorecards job will calculate the KPIs for December. I think there is a file in hich you can specify in the PAS which is the latest period you want to calculate.

Arvind,

If you look at the logs in NetWeaver then you should see some reference to this activity.

However my hunch based on experience is that this is less likely to be the problem

Going back to the beginning - when you say the KPIs associated with the Objectives are not appearing my assumption is that when you click on the image hotspot on the strategy map, the pop up appears with the relevant KPI listed but with no status symbol against the KPI. If this is not the case then please explain what is happening!

The status indicators showing in the popups and on the strategy map are the status for the period shown in the 'As at' date which is governed by the LASTDATE document in PAS. The fact that you have status indicators showing on the scorecard suggests this is in synch.

Things to check/try:

  • when editing the goal diagram have you checked the Display Scorecard status box in the Properties configurator of the Strategy Map Design Manager (should not make a difference but ...)
  • In Design Manager, after Saving and clicking Publish and closing the Design Manager remember to Save on the Strategy Defaults page.
  • Restart JPIP
  • Clear your browser cache (and check that it has actually cleared by clicking the Settings button next to the Delete button and then clicking View files!)
  • In the Scheduler, run the Scorecard Alerts job and then run the Calculate all Scorecard Objects job. The Home tab, Strategy tab and Initiatives tab run off cached data from a relational table CPMS_SCORE_STATUS which is updated when these two jobs are run. The Scorecard in SSM runs off live data drawn from PAS so is not relevant here. If they still don't come through try running Calculate all Scorecard Objects followed by Scorecard Alerts!

See how this goes!

Hi Colin,

Thanks a lot for your response.

Actually ,when I am clicking on Perspectives, it is not showing Objectives list and when i am clicking on Objectives,It is not showing KPIs list and I think due to this status is also not appearing. It is running fine in Dev and UAT server. This problem is coming in production server only for all contexts. Please find the attached file for Fashions Enterprise context.

Arvind,

OK this means that there is something deeper not working correctly, nothing to do with the Scheduler jobs etc.

I would suggest that you raise a support ticket for this.
