Hi Stefan,
I found this on help.sap.com, please go through it:
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/e2/48be3d413f6875e10000000a114084/content.htm
it says -- same port as SAPinst uses on the remote host.
Thanks & Regards,

Hi Stefan,
I was also getting the same error.I have set the path
for variable SAPINST_JRE_HOME
C:\Program Files\Java\j2re1.4.2_08\
Set the path of this variable for the place where your J2re1.4.2_08 exist.
Sharvan:
I am getting the error when it ask me to set the master password for following users:
SDM
Guest for J2eee engine
Administrator for J2eee engine
SAPJ2EDB
DK164H231/SAPServiceJ2eee
DK164H231/j2eadm
Which Password I have to give here?Do I have to
give the same password which we have for our J2ee server on XI.
Thanx.

Hi Rekha,
I have set the environment variable on windows that you have mentioned but I always get the some error.
There is a login screen where you must input the host and the portnumber and when I press the logon-button I get the message "connecting to host "localhost" on port "21212" failed".
Can anybody help me please?
Thanks.

Stefan
Hi @all,
I have read that in posting https://www.sdn.sap.com/sdn/collaboration.sdn?node=linkFnode1-6&contenttype=url&content=https://
"that there is a process that gets launched and acts as a server"
I think, on my server this process is not launched and so I can not login as host:localhost and port:21212 on sapinstgui.
Does anybody knows the name of this process?
Thanks for your help.
Regards
Stefan
