Hello Experts,

Issue is with SRM MDM Catalog-

We are working on SRM MDM catalog, where we have the Catalog Repo and we are done with Web Services and we have built our own Organizational Unit under SRM server.

Now the issue we have-

1) Not able to log in to UI(to perform OCI), with the user that we created under Console with UI configuration Manager role assigned, but we can log in with Admin as user.

2) As we are done with Org Unit and user has been assign to the Catalog ID, the same catalog is not bieng dispalyed over in the Portal.

3) Also just want to know the importance of User which we assign in Web Services??

Kindly share your thoughts.

Regards,

Girish

Hi Girish,

for my experience to login in web UI console the user should have both Admin and UI configuration Manager role assigned.

Not clear your second point.  In general if you assign Catalog ID attribute to user, that user will be available to access (through the portal) to the repository configured in Webservice associated to your Catalog ID.

The user you define in the web service should be a catalog user and is the one for which you define the OCI mapping and the user views in web UI.  As well in the webservice you may define named-search to filter items the portal users could find.

Hope it helps.

Hello Lorenzo,

Thanks for the reply,

As per your comment I have created a user User1 with roles Admin and UI Configuration Manager and I have added this user under Webservices still not able to log into UI to difine teh OCI mapping.

FYI, we have taken the repo a duplicate of the some other repo(Renamed) and working on it as a sandbox..will this create any prob???

Could you please help out to know do this user has to get any other authorizations under SRM server???

Hello Girish,

The User with roles Admin and UI Configuration has to be the one who administer the UI and OCI.

The User you use as a parameter in the web service (as well as its password) should have only Catalog user role.

Which is the error you get trying to access to the web UI?  Have you tried restarting the J2EE, it may happens some previous sessions remained locked?
