CRM Opportunity search

Hello experts.

When starting a CRM opportunity search with the criteria "Expected decision date period" the result will be a complete list of all opportunities regardless which period you chose.

In production this search hardly comes to an end because of reading a lot of data.

Is this a bug or do I have to maintain some tables for this ?

Hi Frank,

Timeframe search is a search by validity period.
All valid documents (with "start date" earlier than "the end of the validity period" and "end date" later than "the start of the validity period") will be returned as search results.

Point 8 in SAP note 1318262 for detailed explanation on search using validity period

So if your opportunities end date was not set accordingly it will be accessed by searching Timeframe.

We have indeed a lot of opportunitys with no "end" date.

We have to investigate about this and solve it.
