Hi all,
In CRM system there is a client for BW 7.0. I have a task to install Standard Web template. Identified the template and installed the complete flow of the template.
Web template, Query views, Query, Infoobjects, cubes, transfer rules, datasources.etc.
Now in query designer I can see the installed Query and the Query views.
The Web template which I installed from Business content is in 3.5 vesion.
Same way Iam searching for Web template in WAD, but could not find the template in WAD.
Please let me know how to find the installed WEB template. Correct me if am doing wrong.
Thanks,
Hi,
Try this thing--Take any query and run in RSRT2---See if the query runs or gives you message that install the template.

Hi,
yes I found it and I installed it. After installation I got a error message in the message box of Business content saying
Java communication error: An unknown error occured during Portal communication.
Java communication error : RFC destination not configured does not exist.
You have any idea why I got these messages when installing the said above.
Thanks
Hi Anshu/Suman,
Iam back with some queries.
1) We are now creating RFC from CRM(7.0) to BW 7.3.
2) There's WAD in BW 7.3 and I tested by creating a Ztemplate by giving a query name and executed. Its going into EP portal but the output is not showing up. Here Iam not able to use(drag) any of the Web Items into the empty page. Should I contact basis to check the configuration.
Bex reports created are successfully executing in EP portal. Issue is with the WAD templates.
3) How can I do a successfull testing of WAD and confirm whether everything is working fine.?
4) what are the pre requisites we need for WAD in BW 7.3?
5) Now BW 7.3 is connected to EP Portal, can we connect the same to CRM WEBUI Parallelly so that CRM guy can see the reports in CRM user Interface.
CRM 7.0
BW 7.3
WAD - 7.0
Thanks
Nagar
What is your WAD version? 3.5 or 7.0?
I think it is 7.0. You have to migrate this web template by using Migration tool in WAD 7.0. It will be under top menu tabs. Please check it..
Please check the migration of web items SAP Note from this blog.

Hi suman,
I tried migrating the Web template by using migration tool in WAD 7.0.
Tools --> Migration tool --> Select Web template -->Give the web template technical name -->
Conversion completed and
Iam getting an error message : E260 Template include Item Template_include_item_1 unresolved or empty.Close and reopen template.
Iam looking into the SAP NOTE.
Thanks
Hi Suman,
I tried closing and opening again. The problem still persists.
You mean before I migrate a standard Web template, I should migrate the Web items.
Could you please tell me how can I find the WEb items of that standard Web template.
Should I go and perform the steps in the SAP Note. Is it safe to do so.
Thanks
Hi Suman,
I am also experiencing the same issue.
When we migrate Web templates to 7.X i am getting the below message. These are the standard Web templates from Business content.
Template Include Item TEMPLATE_INCLUDE_ITEM_1 unresolved or empty. Close and reopen template.
I tried to follow the note 832712 - BW: Migration of Web items from 3.x to 7.0 .
Where can we get the Item, Libraries and roles which mention in the Note.
I tried to a role (SAP_BW_0ROLE_0162) from the business content for one template and slected Select Item By Roles & ran from the program RSZW_ITEM_MIGRATION_3X_TO_70 . It is giving message "Migration attempts will be performed for the following items" and not showing any Item to be migrated.
Can you please suggest am i following right path.
Do we have to follow all 3 steps mentioned in the note.
Where can we find Items & Libraries which need to migrated.
Please guide me.
Thanks & Regards,
Anand
Hi,
E260 Template include Item Template_include_item_1 unresolved or empty.Close and reopen template
Your template isn't migrated properly as it contains some other web template included in it.
I'd suggest you to do the following.
Go to SE38 -> RS_TEMPLATE_MAINTAIN_70 and read the html code and find which template is the "include item" in the web template you're trying to migrate.
If the include web template is installed, migrate that first and then, migrate your desired one, otherwise install that web template and carry out migration procedure.
