ERP/ECC Live Data fetching....

Hello All

My purpose is to fetch, direct data for Inventory Management from ERP side only (not from BW) and then to make a Dashboard report on Live data for Available Stock position (Current stock or given date stock).

1) Which fields needs to be identify?

2) What would be the procedure, please elaborate step by step?

3) Do i require any help from ABAPER too?

4) Do I need to create a Universe on top of fields being fetched from ERP/ECC?

4) Just to be curious which BO tool should be used/suit for better understanding of Inventory Management Dashboard, Webi or Crystal Report, according to above mentioned requirements?

Dear All

Thanks for reply. I have developed few dashboard reports. My 0IC_C03 Inventory Management InfoCube was not fulfilling business requirement, that's why I posted it.

To fetch live data from ERP is my 1st experience. I have also searched on Google and SCN but couldn't find appropriate guide lines. I would be very appreciate if you please guide me step by step.

Hi Arhsiyan,

As i know from BO Tools you won't get data directly from ECC. You may need to get thru bw only. mean while post BO forum. you may get some clarity. later you can decide which method will be good achieve your requirement.

You have to ask your business users about their required fields like Stock  etc,,

BO can fetch data directly from ECC system also. You have to go through steps on How to make a dashboard from BO. Lots of docs are available in Google.

I don't think so. You can join multiple tables in BO. You need SQL knowledge, i believe

Of course, you have to create Universe as a first step in BO development.

I suggest WEBI will be better.
