Outgoing RFC-Connection via saprouter with XI 2.0

Hi all,

we need to send out messages via an RFC-Adapter to a system behind two firewalls (ours and our customers). We thought of configuring the RFC-Adapter to use saprouters, but can't find out where the saprouter string can be entered. Has anybody done this already? We are using XI 2.0.

Thanks a lot!

Francis

The RFC adapter needs a registered program of the JCO server. This usually runs on the XI.

In the SM59 of the R/3 you need to define two entries, for sender and receiver. Here you refer to the registered programs running on the gateway of the XI. Therefor you enter the router string (to XI) as server address.

Another thing is the access to the RFC meta data. Here you need to access the R/3 from the XI. So you enter the router string (to R/3) in the RFC adapter configuration.

Another option would be, installing a local RFC adapter running on the server of the R/3. Then you need only an HTTP(S) connection between the RFC adapter and the XI.

    Hope that helps

    Stefan
