Hi everyOne,
I am new in SAP EIM and specially in data services, and I want to add a profiler repositoy and associate it with the admin user.
On the DS management console guide, this should be done in: Administrators->Management->Repositories and click on Add... But I dont find any Repositories node under Managements!!
Thank you in advance.
Abdess,
Hello Abdess!
Never did this, but I think you're looking on the wrong place...
Try on the CMC: IPorHOSTADDRESS:8080/BOE/CMC
Log with your admin account
Go to option Data Services
There you can manage and configure your repositories.
Make sure you've already created the profiler repository on repository manager, and you can go to the icon "Configure a new DS repository" on the top.
Let me know if it worked or if you have any other doubts.
Regards.
Bruna Dupim.

Hi experts,
I didn't know that it should be done through CMC! I created a repo profiler and I configure it in the CMC.
are there any further steps to use the profiler repository?
Actually I don't know what the repository profile is used for !! I am just following the SAP best practices for data migration, and there are some optional steps about profil repository ...So I fallowed them.
Can you just give some information about profil repository and what is it used for?
Thank's a lot

Hi,
If you are not interested in profiling your source then you don't need to have the profiler setup.
However for more info about the profiler see the documentation:
From the DS designer Guide http://help.sap.com/bods41:
Using the Data Profiler:
The Data Profiler executes on a profiler server to provide the following data profiler information that multiple users can view:
• Column analysis—The Data Profiler provides two types of column profiles:
- Basic profiling—This information includes minimum value, maximum value, average value, minimum string length, and maximum string length.
- Detailed profiling—Detailed column analysis includes distinct count, distinct percent, median, median string length, pattern count, and pattern percent.
• Relationship analysis—This information identifies data mismatches between any two columns forwhich you define a relationship, including columns that have an existing primary key and foreignkey relationship.
You'll get a view like this in Designer:
Have you created a profiler repo and configured in CMC?
