Disable "Default Contact" on BP Master Data

Is it possible to turn off Default Contacts? We sell to some huge organisations where we have 100+ contacts all in different departments doing different roles. a "Default Contact" is inappropriate and is causing us some problems!

Suggestions appreciated.

Hi Tim,

Not possible to disable default contact. But still you choose other contact in marketing documents.

Hi Tim,

You cannot disable. But you can write Contact ID in coded format.

For eg: PUR-TIM.

where PUR statnds for Purchase Department and TIM stands for contact Person name.

Contact ID have 50 characters length.

A suggestion just to help Platinum.

Hi,

Unless there is no contact entered, the default contact is always automatically assign to the first contact you have entered. You may change it but cannot be disabled.

Thanks Gordon. Default Contact is of no use and actually causes us problems! I think I'll post on Idea Place about this as from a CRM function is is bad
