Fire Fighter for Java (only) based system

Dear GRC experts,

do you know if Fire Fighter (FF) can be used for elevating access to Java (only) based system, e.g. PI, CPS (SAP products without ABAP stack, starting from version 7.3, PI can be installed without ABAP stack).

Thank you in advance!

BR,

Ivana

Hi Ivana,

Firefighter is an ABAP solution, so no.

Having said that, there is value in recording exceptional access to Java systems, so you might think of using an ABAP dummy Firefighter to record the act of having used Java superuser access (granted outside the system) to make your GRC control framework consistent.

Yes, as Frank has mentioned, FF is an ABAP solution and it is possible to install it on ABAP only systems.
