    Hi ,

You can use the following steps.

1 ) Select - Query - You are using the hints statement , Which means you are forcing the system to use the particular index . Oracle is smart enough to pick up the suitable index for your selection. You might need to change this . ( Possibly remove ).

2 ) Inorder to confirm the above , Do a explain plan through DB02 - Copy paste your select query from SM50 and run the explain plan , It will give you a pretty idea about the cost of your selection , If its more try to remove the index and see how the system is picking up the suitable index.

3 ) Check with Basis on the index quality of the table and if its less than 75% or Poor, Ask them to go for a index re-build.

4 ) If the Table is archived more frequently you need to go for a table re-org with the help of basis team.

Try all the above and let us know if the issue is still there , Then we can check on the other options.

    Thanks,

    Arun.

First try to execute in background and/or optimize your report...

(Playing with SAPGUI_PROGRESS_INDICATOR is sweeping the problem under the carpet, and next step will involve out of memory problems ?)
