Hello,
We are using MSS on EHP6 with MSS Add on 1.0. We are trying to utilizing the UWL substitution for Time approval.
The substitution works fine, and the substituted user see the item in their UWL.
Issue:
When the substituted manager clicks on the item, the Time Approval Application opens up, but does not show any Data?
Other Notes:
Thanks,
Rob
Hi Rob,
First of all check whose the approver of the work item is?
Please check the WF log using Swia to whose Inbox the
workitems is residing, You can check in the backend as well using Sbwp
whether the tasks are there or no? If it is not there in backend
Please check the customisation again!
Also are you using your own WF for the working time?
Please check this
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp2005vp/helpdata/en/9f/6a7b423737dc54e10000000a155106/frameset.htm
If you have assigned your copy of the standard task to a task visualization type using the Task Visualization transaction (SWFVISU) and have maintained the parameters, the approver accesses the Approve Working Times Web application on executing the work item.
Make sure this is done
Please check in the SPRO :Approve Working times
Workflow: Specify Method for Executing UWL Item
check the task :Task TS31000007 in swfvisu and its parameters

Hi Uday,
I've confirmed everything.
The approver (agent) of the workflow item is Manager1 in SWIA. Manager1 can approve the tasks from both UWL and backend no problem. Since Manger1 has enabled UWL substitution to Manager2, the Manager2 also sees the task in their UWL. Manager2 is able to open the Task, and time approval application opens up, which tells me that all the (SWFVISU) are correct! But the issue withe Manager 2 sees this application, there is no data!
From the backed, Both managers can go into their inbox (Sbwp), and approve OK, so its only the portal application that does not show the data for Manager2.
thanks,
Rob.
Hi Rob,
Please refer to the thread mentioned above: http://scn.sap.com/thread/3345198
Looks like there is a problem with your OADP configuration for this view.
Regards
Uday
Hi Uday,
I gone over that thread, and tried every suggestion, but no luck.
When I drill down my OADP query for Working Time, I see that it comes down to following Object Selection:
Rule for Root Objects: MSS_LCA_RULE1
Rule for Target Objects: MSS_LCA_RULE5
Do these rules need to be modified in order to accommodate the substituted employee scenario? if yes, then what should I try?
thank you,
Rob.
I think you need to check the internet services.
Because we had the same issue and it got resolved with the help of BASIS team.
As they have configured the settings for Internet services.
Hope it may helpful.
Cheers,
Akberhusain

Hello,
I think this issue may be related to OADP.
We are using MSS_LCA_EE Organizational View for Selecting employees in Working time. Is there something special needed to show the Substituted users in this View?
When I run the FM HRWPC_OADP_TEST for the substituted manager, he does not see any employees. So I'm guessing this could be the issue.
Now, how can update this View to include substituted users?
thanks,
Rob.
Hi Rob,
I will suggest downloading HTTPWATCH tool and repeat the activity by opening the recording. That will lead you to zero in on correct webdynpro/Portal navigation point which is causing the problem.

Ashutosh
