How can I "Navigate from one iView to another iView" in same frame?

Hi,

I am working on development of iViews using SAP Portal Development Kit for .NET.

1. I have created an iView showing Task Listing. I have created another iView showing Task Details.

How can I navigate to 'Task Details' iView by clicking a link on 'Task List' iView, with in same frame as of 'Task List' iView?

2. How can I have a tab control (like Browse,Search tabs on Portal Content page) in the iView?

Thanks for your suggestion.

Regards,

Vikas Khandpur

    Hi Vikas,

    1) Use iView Client Side eventing with

    EPCM.doNavigate('ROLES://portal_content/myrole/com.mycompany.myiview2',0,null,null);

    2) You can use HTMLB tab control to create Tabbed menu.

      Hi Dhruv,

      Thanks for the prompt reply.

      Since I am still a beginner, I'd be grateful if you could elaborate on this.

      Could you also outline the steps to create EPCM.doNavigate('ROLES://portal_content/myrole/com.mycompany.myiview2',0,null,null); in .Net?

    Hi Vikas,

    U can use the client events for triggering events from one iview to another. But both the iview have to be in the same page.

    If they are in different page u can also navigation feature.

    To rasie an event

    EPCM.raiseEvent( "urn:namespace", "eventname", "Parameters if any");

    To subscribe an event

    EPCM.subscribeEvent( "urn:namespace", "eventname", eventhandling_function_name );

    To navigate

    <A HREF=”myLink” onclick=”return EPCM.doNavigate(‘any_PCD_URL’)”>

    Try out the following link to know more abt EPCM
