Message Version in PI RWB

Dear Experts,

I'm curious to know the what does the message version means at the message content in SAP PI Runtime Workbench (Integration Engine)

as far as I get, I can only get this link for the information but I could not get explanation of what the message version is.

Hello Suwandi,

When a PI message is processed through the Integration Engine, it goes through a series of Pipeline processing steps e.g. Receiver Determination, Message Mapping etc. At various points in the Pipeline processing the message is persisted to the DB. This creates a new version of the message.

In the version view you can cancel, edit, or resend individual versions. Please check the below link which clearly explains you.

HI Suwandi,

As far as i know you can have different version of the same message. This is useful in the case some error appears in one proccesing step and you want to persist the message. Check Michal Krawczyk 's blog
