Priority field disappearing in work order after saving the order

Hello experts,

I am facing a peculiar issue. When I create a work order IW31 and populate priority field as say 'very high'. I then say add operation duration etc; release and save the order. Now, when I again open that order IW32, the priority field which earlier said say 'very high' disappears and appear blank. And I have to manually populate this field to again reset to 'very high'. Can someone throw any light on the resolution of this peculiar behaviour of the system.

There are some SAP notes. Please check the below as well as check in Service Portal. As I am not aware of your SAP version, I can't suggest any specific note.

Note 1723162 - IW32: Priority field incorrectly saved in the PM/CS order

Thanks a lot !!! It seems like the error could be resolved after implementing the above note. I am new to SAP and have not implemented any note before as it is a bit too tehnical for me to understand. Is there a documentation available on how to implement an sap note in the system?

There is a transaction as SNOTE. You can take help of your Basis or ABAP consultants to implement SAP note.

Are you talking about PM Order Creation Initial Screen or Header Screen??

Please attach the screen shot where you are adding the priority. Also, check in configuration about the priority assigned to that selected order type.

I am adding priority on the initial screen, which gets populated automatically in the header screen. Now,when I save the order, the priority field disappears when I again come back and check the order in IW32. I have checked the priority configuration; it is ok. The priority dates are also populating correctly. Just that the field for priority is disappearing.

After selecting PM Order type in initial screen, press enter once before selecting the priority & then select the same.

If the same problem persists after doing so, please let us know.

Please attach the configuration of Priority assignment to order type & Priority type configuration.
