Hi Experts,

We are creating one flavor for one transaction. For 15 t-codes in SAP MM we are ending up with 15 flavors.

Is it possible to merge all these 15 flavors into 1 flavor and then access these flavors within this flavor?

Best regards

Saurabh

Hi,

Just to add, we are in 3.0 version of screen personas.

Best Regards

This is currently not yet possible. There are plans to have a feature that could help in such scenarios but it would only be available in a future service package.

As usual, this is no commitment to deliver such functionality and there is no declared timeline when (or if) this will happen.

Thanks Tamas,

Is there any alternative way (other than ending up with 15 flavors for 15 t-codes) to simplify it?

I am afraid of complicating things for users rather than simplifying their process. With this we will end up with 'N' flavors for business users. :(

No, because a flavor belongs always to one (and only one) transaction.

I'm wondering why would you have 15 different transactions though... what are they?

Our 1 business analysts use t-codes across different modules.

SAP PS:

CJ20N, CJ03, CJR2, Z-t-codes and so on

SAP HR

CAT2, CAT_APPR, CAT7, CATA, CATS

SAP Fund Management

FMCIC, FMCIA etc.

So, it all sum up to 15 t-codes per business user/analyst.

Ah, that... well, there is no way around having all those different flavors. These transactions are completely different, so it is not possible to come up with just one flavor handling them all.

You could certainly have one dashboard flavor for transaction SMEN and then from there, access all the 15 different transactions with their separate flavors if that's what you are asking for. This is a very common scenario.

Earlier I have misunderstood your request - I thought you are looking for a way to have flavors for different, but very similar transactions. This is not the case. So my previous reply about the mentioned feature doesn't apply here.

Thanks Tamas!

You got it what I am looking for.

Could you please elaborate a bit more on

"You could certainly have one dashboard flavor for transaction SMEN and then from there, access all the 15 different transactions with their separate flavors if that's what you are asking for. This is a very common scenario."

This is exactly what I want to do.

You can build a flavor for the SMEN transaction (where users are starting after logon) and have buttons launching all those other 15 transactions from there. If you assign the flavors to a common role (that all your targeted users have) as the default for those transactions, then they will be able to run them and the corresponding flavors would be applied to them.
