My companies SAP system is running fine. My director asked me if there was anything that we could do to get more out of the hardware. I know that's a loaded question but I am working on this. We have a 9117-MMB with 60 gig of memory, NAS storage. This is our production. The entire SAP structure (DB, DS, MS) are all in the same partition. DB2 V9.7.5 with the standard tablespace spread. The only thing that I have done so far is look at heavily used tables to put into their own tablespace, bufferpool. The utilization on the box is less than 25% avg. It has 24 CPU's.
They are bringing on the European plants more each day. Small DB only 1/2 TB with less than 300 concurrent users. This will go up as the European plants will almost triple everything. So what are some recommendations I can put in place or plan to use for the future? Thanks for the help.
