When to use repeat, manual execution and TRFC execution

I am new to process chain monitoring. I came across an error in some packets in infopackage. To resolve the error came to know that we have to execute(F6) in R/3 on the transaction id having error or sometimes we can manually execute at infopackage or even repeat the step. I am confused when to use them.

Thanks.

Hi Harish,

If there are no hung TIDs from source then there is no need to manually process the TID's.

If at all the TRFCs got processed but in the BW side the data packet was not processed then you need to first change the status of the load to Red.and then process the hung data packet manually, once its processed change the status of the data load to green.

If there are any HUNG TRFCs from source to BW:

First of all you need to make sure the source system job is completed.

Next from the job log Pic up the TID which need to be processed manually from source to BW.

To get the TID, from the job log --> CTRL+F --> enter "sysfail" --> it will display the TID of the TRFC which was not yet processed.

Copy the TID and in the source system --> SM58 --> execute --> Search for TID --> once find --> select it and press F6 key to process the hung TRFC manually.

Can you post the monitor screen shot of the warning n data packets ...

As you said its a MD load failure if its a Full load you can directly repeat the load instead of manually processing the hung TRFCs.

Hello,

Master data process chain has a step(infopackage) which is in yellow, even the process monitor is having yellow light but when I checked TRFC and job log was saying packet has failed.

Would like to know:

1. Need to perform F6 in TRFC or

2. Change yellow light to red light in process monitor and Repeat the step or

3. Execute manually or

4. Process IDOC through BD87

Thanks

Hi

Try 2) first. If it doesn't work check sm58 (your 1)

hope that clarifies

Hi Harish,

I think your taking about SM58 ecc side.

if your info pack have errors, pls share the exact error screen shot.

ask basis team to check whether any queues are stucked at ecc side SM58, if yes then they need to clear.

Even you can check ECC job logs,

From info pack monitor screen, menu Environment --> job overview --> job in source system--> enter ecc user id and pass word, you will get respective job, select that one and click on job log details.

if you see any errors/terminated messages pls share.

Thanks

Hi Harish,

I will tell you in crispy.

Infopackage - Press F6 to refresh the RSMO screen. You can monitor from Environment-->Transact TFC-->

You can repeat the process chain at the failed step. If it can continue, it will continue. Otherwise you have to analyze the problem either in BW or in ECC.

You can manually execute the Infopackage also. You have to take a decision by based on the error what you get.

Keep this doc with you about production support issues:

Hi Harish,

It is based on which kind of error is came.

If you have any error is related to specific character or data, you need to correct it.

Repeat step need to be done if InfoPackage failed due to lock or something which will not repeat again as error happened only that instance.

If you execute InfoPackage manually u can skip the load from Process chain.

So repeat step is same as execute manually and then skip the step in Process chain as you execute it manually.
