Could anyone please tell me the procedure for extraction and loading of texts, attributes and hierarchies from R/3 TO BW.

Hi Kiran,

To Extract Master data Information from SAP R/3.

We have two ways:

1)using Business Content Data sources :

GOTO -> RSA5 activate the business Data Source and Replicate the data source into SAP BW and Assign it to the respective Info Source and Start loading it.

<b>NOTE :- To Identify the Correct Data Sources available as per Business Content.</b>

GoTo --> SE11 in SAP R/3 and look at the content of the table ROOSOURCE by inputing the info Object name and * into the Data Source (OLTPSOUCE) field.

For Example if you want to load the data for 0customer in SAP BW from SAP R/3 GoTo --> SE11 in SAP R/3 and look at the content of the table ROOSOURCE by inputing the value 0customer* into the Data Source (OLTPSOUCE) field. Then you will find all the data sources corresponding to that master data.

2) Using Generic Extarction

Use the T-Code RSO2

we craete our own data sources and use them to load the data.
