Hi All,
As per our current ISA system that limits the password to either 40 or 8 characters. When set at 40 characters, each time the customer resets their password (and the initial password) a cryptic 40 character long complex password is generated; this is an unrealistic password for a customer. When set at 8 characters the customer is limited to only 8 characters which is too small for many users.
This problem is compounded by the fact that the “login/password_downwards_compatibility” system profile parameter must be changed each and every time the system is restarted or ISA will default back to a 40 character password.
We would like to a password that has a 20 character maximum but has a reset and initial password of six to eight characters. We would like this to be a permanent change and not a flag than needs to be changed each time the system is restarted.
How we can configure it ?
