Behaviour of Fold/UnFold feature

Hi Experts,

I tried using Fold/UnFold feature with Sections & Breaks in both XI 3.1 and BO 4.0.

Below are my Observations:

- Fold/Unfold using "Section", works fine in View [Web (no download required)] & Modify [Rich Internet Application (download required)] mode

- Fold/Unfold using "Break", works fine only in Modify mode

- Export to Excel/PDF format does not work with Fold/Unfold                 

Can anyone advise if it is possible to view Fold/Unfold using Break in View mode itself as the business users will be accessing only in this mode.

Also, is there any possibility to do Expand/Collapse after exporting the report results?

Hi,

Kindly Change the Viewing preference of Webi to Rich Internet Application to fold/unfold body when 'Break' is applied.

About Fold/Unfold feature in Excel/PDF, it is not possible. Webi won't reflect this property in exported Excel/PDF. But, you can manually Group/Ungroup in Excel.

Hi Parthiban,

Yes. It will work when View mode Preference is changed to Rich Internet Application. But if it is changed, business users will get the rights to edit the Query as well which is not supposed to be.

Is there any Patch available which will resolve the Fold/Unfold issue with Break? The reason being if it works fine with Section why not with Break?
