Hi,

I am not worked on Payroll Type C. But these two things will appear in IT 0267.

When there is any changes in the master data, then payroll type B will comes into picture.

Hi Vijay,

Thanks for your reply, can we use the corrrection run (payroll type B) for US payroll and if not then what is the use for the correction run (payroll type B) and what is the other alternative we have to run the correction run for US payroll.

Looking forward to hear back from you.

Hi Kumar,

To ensure correct YTD calculations and consistency in reconciliation. To enter this external data, create a record in Infotype 0221, subtype BLANK. This action will set the retrocalculation date in the Payroll Status infotype (0003). The payroll run that processes the manual check data  calculates employer taxes. The taxed-when-earned method of taxation is applied.

You have two options to create the payroll result for a manual check:

-You can wait for the next regular payroll run to create the manual check payroll result by performing a retrocalculation.

·  Alternatively, if the availability of the manual check data is time-critical (meaning that you cannot wait for the next regular payroll run), you can create the adjustment directly. You can use the Off-Cycle Workbench to execute manual check or adjustment payroll runs. In general, the manual check can be calculated directly by the payroll driver.

Employee taxes are not calculated by the system. It is assumed that these were already calculated for the check written manually outside of mySAP HR and entered on the Infotype 0221 screen. However, to ensure correct employer tax deductions (since it is assumed that these deductions are not part of the manual check), the payroll run for the manual check does calculate employer taxes.

Check the below path for your reference.

In the master data maintenance screen (Human Resources → Personnel Management   → Administration → HR Master Data → Maintain), create an Infotype 0221 record (subtype BLANK) for the affected employee. Indicate, by wage type, the amounts that were calculated for the manual check.

Run payroll, either by running a manual check payroll run (payroll run type C), or an on-demand adjustment run (payroll run type B), or by waiting for the next regular payroll run. The option you choose will depend on the pay date of the manual check.

if possible, you should create the manual check data shortly before the next regular payroll run. We do not recommend that you create the manual check by an on-demand adjustment run (payroll run type B), since this payroll run type will lead to a complete retro calculation of the amounts involved.

The record is picked up during the payroll run and the results for the manual check are calculated on the basis of the taxed-when-earned method of taxation. Any taxes will be attributed to the period that corresponds to the check date you entered on Infotype 0221.

Example :- An employee has received a bonus payment. Taxes and deductions on this payment were calculated manually and the check was written manually.

Thanks

Hi Alok,

The B and C are the payment methods you desire to pay an employee, ie B is for direct deposits and C is for issuing a manual check.  While running PUOC_10 (off cycle work bench) for Bonus, corrections, year end adjustments, expatriate adjustments or what ever the requirement which can be met through this t.code, we will be provided with options with radio buttons 'payment according to IT 9', Check and Manual check and several payment methods.  In this options if you have given B in IT 9 then the payment will be directly deposited to bank, if it C it can be either system generated check or Manual check (where you have to give the check number for record keeping).  hope this helps
