Error ocurred during SAP_JTECHS upgrade in Solution Manager 7.01?

Hi All,

I am trying to patch upgrade java component SAP_JTECHS from SP 7.01.9.26 to SP 7.01.13.0 through JSPM. It is throwing error during deployment of one of the development component as

Deployment message for component SAP_JTECHS: Error during deployment

Failed deployment of SDA's: development component 'tc/wd/dispwda'/'sap.com'/'SAP AG'/'7.0113.20120913120256.0000'/'1: Aborted.

Please suggest me appropiate action.

Hi Sunny,

Please find the attached text file for detailed error.

I am performing this activity in lue of another issue which I am facing while opening NWA admin portal for Solution Manager from browser. For this error I have read in one of the SCN thread that above mentioned problem is due to different patch level of SAP_JTECHS and SAP_JTECHF.

Error for above issue

500 Internal Server Error

Application error occurd during request processing

Details; java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: null

Please attached text file for error while deployment.

Please suggest me appropriate action.

You are facing this error because when you upgrade individual SP then you have to make sure that you upgrade all below packages in same queue:

SAP_JTECHF*.SCA

SAP_JTECHS*.SCA

SAP-JEE*.SCA

SAP-JEECOR*.SCA

Please refer to SAP note 1747984.

You must maintain SAP_JEE, SAP_JEECOR, SAP_JTECHF and SAP_JTECHS components at the same SP level and deploy it as whole. More preferred deployment strategy is to deploy a whole stack.

Hi

Can you please provide more logs.

Are you deploying this patch only or whole stack.

If this patch only try deploying through SDM.

If that also fails try Patch 4 of SP13 for JtechS.

Yes, I am deploying SAP_JTECHS patch only not whole stack.

I tried this by SDM also but getting same error.

Hi,

As per the below note .

1862926  - Netweaver Administrator and user management links do not work on dual stack system

  1. Download and install latest patches of components SAP J2EE ENGINE, SAP J2EE ENGINE CORE, SAP JAVA TECH SERVICES, SAP TECH S OFFLINE. Find more information in Note 1059901 - How to deploy patches with SDM.

    So try to download the patch delivered by sap

SAP J2EE ENGINE,

SAP J2EE ENGINE CORE,

SAP JAVA TECH SERVICES,

SAP TECH S OFFLINE

released after 30.06.2013 07:33:12 release.

Add all of the patch in SDM and DEPLOY them.

  1. Download and install latest kernel patches. Find more information in note Note 19466 - Downloading SAP kernel patches.

Please also update the kernel if not update.
