Issue in creating a new Software Component Version (SWCV) in Eclipse

Dear All,

I'm not able to find any option to create a new Software Component Version (SWCV) in Eclipse in Enterprise Service Repository perspective. I'm working on SAP Netweaver 7.3 EPH 1 Process Orchestration As Java system.

It's mentioned in help.sap.com that the pre-requisite for creating SWCV is that you need to have the SAP_XI_ADMINISTRATOR_J2EE role or SAP_XI_CONTENT_ORGANIZER_J2EE role. I tried using PISUPER user as well as new user with SAP_XI_ADMINISTRATOR_J2EE role, but not of them is working. I just get the options under new object menu as shown in the screen shot below.

Please let me know I'm missing here.

Thanks!

    Hi,

On a java-only system, forget user PISUPER and try with user Administrator.

    Kind regards,

    Dimitri

    Hi,

This is because of Roels issue.could you please add the below roles and let me know the result.

Because with the above roles i can see the SWCV create.

    Thanks

The issue was due to the difference in the service package stack version of SAP System and that of NWDS. NWDS was of higher SP level. Updating the SAP system to higher SP resolved the issue. Thanks all for you time and valuable inputs.
