How do I restrict users from using the DELETE button on the Attachments TAB

Dear SAP Gurus

The Attachments TAB that exists in many place on SAP Business One v9.0  PL:04 has the DELETE button to remove an attachment.

Its too easy for a user to delete a valid attachment either by accident or for a malicious purpose.

Can this button be disable for specific SAP usercodes?

Hi Sotos,

With B1 9.0 that you are using comes that lovely and exiting tool call Studio. And your answer could very well sit there!

I started to work on your issue but couldn't go further then SAP B1 Studio, succeeding to hide the button Delete on, for example, BP Master Data.

The question now is how to 'package' the changes for B1 to load the new 'form'. I don't have the full Visual Basic installed and I believe that's why SAP give me an error when installing SAP B1 Studio for VB, saying that, well, VB is not installed.

Check the 2 screenshot attached, and if you can get that Studio for VB installed, can you share your work. I'd like to continue working on your case and find the solution.

And I forget to mention the powerful Add-on by BOYUM called B1 Usability Package (B1UP).

With this you can with a click of a button hide the selected field/button, etc... for selective users....

Not possible to achieve your requirement. Because same delte option will be useful when user attached incorrect file.
