Why dashboard don't interactive when I exported to MS Powerpoint?

Hi Experts,

I'm using Dashboard to connect with query via universe connection which created in IDT. When I exported to Word, Powerpoint or Flash(swf), it didn't work and get stuck but Exported to PDF it works.

Note: If I create dashboard without connecting to my server, it works otherwise it'll stuck in "Initializing". I also do the same step in some forums like Enable ActiveX and try to simplify my dashboard by removing each controls to find out crash controls but these all doesn't work for me. I know one way that could literally fix my problem by export my current data to excel file but this will fixed my data and no effect when I change my data in source system. I need every time user opening the file; they will provide with dialog and connect to current data in server.

Could everybody help me to solve this problem?

With my regards,

Keu.

    Hi Keu,

I have faced this issue once. In my case problem was due to MS Office tools settings. I have repaired all the office tools and then it got resolved. Try to do it, it may work.

      Hi,

Yes, i'm using BPC EPM Connection.

Don't know what happened, now the powerpoint displays Dashboard but it didn't retrieve data. Instead it displays "null" error which we faced even in BI Launchpad before adding crossdomain.xml

What should i do to avoid this error in Powerpoint?

      Please suggest.

      Thanks much.

    Hi Keu,

You do not have your local drive added to the Flash player trusted settings.

Open the swf, right click->Global setting. Add your local drive (C:\) to the trusted location for Flash player.

Re-open the swf in PPT, Word it would work.

    Cheers,

    Amit
