Hello,
I am using SAP GUI 640
when we logon from SAP logon pad, we define item, we give, description, application server name, system ID and system number.
i am able to access one 4.0B system with system number 00, now i want to also access this system using system number 01. i give desc, appls ser name, system id and system 01.
i am able to logon into system number 00 , but not 01, why?
can someone please explain why this is happening.

Hi,
They might have created with system number 00.
If u want any more assistance u can contact the BASIS persons around u.
U cant do anything, they will let u know.

yes system number's are created at the time of installing SAP. i think you don't have access to system number 01. please ask your basis people to give you access to that number.

Hi Surjit!
The system number has to match the settings of the installed SAP system. You can't chose them freely in logon - that's only possible for the SAP system.
Most use system number 00, but sometimes a second system is maintained as 01,...
If you want to log-in in a different client, than you can change this in logon-screen (first SAP screen), not in SAP-logon.

so christian does this mean this system number is maintained at the time of installation.
cause some other system which is 4.7uni, i have system number 00 as well as 01.
