Updating Infotype data with FPM forms

I'm trying to update a standard infotype. For example, I want to change someone's first name(VORNA) in infotype 0002. How should I go about this?
I tried setting the field attribute in the backend to "can be edited" and operations to "change". But to no avail, I'm getting these strange errors like data record does not match some other pernr or no record can be found corresponding to some other pernr. Do I have to make an event to associate with changing data?

No event binding is needed in this case.

First check if you are able to update the last name for the pernr in transactions

    1) PA30 and then in

    2) PUIT_UI.

If 1 and 2 is fine, check if there are data issues with running rhint* reports.

After fixing any inconsistencies with data - if you still get error - please share screenshots of the process config all with error message.

    Hope this helps.

    With regards,
