Project ID /Coding mask

Hi All,

I understand that Project ID can be of 5 character(MAX) , however system is not allowing to create a Project Id which is subset of already existing Project ID with 5 character. For example i cannot create F99S as project id , if F99SL already exist.

With above problem, project created with F99S-00001 will not have Mask in the header screen & that is reason , we cannot select 'Edit' in OPSJ setting. Project are created , but 'Mask' in not derived in header.

Customer has model which are different F99SL & F99S & wishes to have seperate template. What should be the solution?

Thank you so much for help,

Best Regards,

Jatin

Hello Jatin,

Yes, both mask are not possible because project F99SL will be in both , you can check these options

Mask ID F99SL

              F99S0 ( a letter or number as 5 character)

Or.     F99S  And then -XNNN

Then you can have F99S-L000 or F99S-0000 ( also you can create q validation where position after - is a number or L)

Not sure if this help you..
