approve another absence

hi dudes,

When manager  approves a leaves and he tries to click 'Approve another absence" the Link is not working ....is there any settings we have to do in ptarq ....kindly let me know ASAP

NO . I WANT GIVE ACCESS IN THE CURRENT VERSION UWL ONLY NOT IN POWL ...THEN why SAP  released and provided that option and that is not working .........I will use UWL only not POWL. ....Tell me solution

yes you can use UWL as suggested you don't have to use POWL

But make you have the latest XML as per above note and I reckon you use custom tasks and that should be modified as per standard tasks in SWFISU and later once you re register from UWL admin, new tasks would be reflected in XML, otherwise, you can manually add them as well in this xml and upload.

AS I know Mass approval can be done from R3 only  and  not from portal as Srikanth suggested if Mass approval can be done from portal where a MANAGER can do from portal Mass approval ....  I think that option is there in POWL and not in UWL .....kindly suggest me .......

if you check my earlier reply, it's mass approval functionality provided as standard functionality itself for managers in MSS role.

Workoverview => Time Approval and Task Remainder.

You can do mass approval in portal as well

Make sure you are using the XML as per note 1600953 and check your tasks again in SWFVISU!!

Dear Jwala,

To approve bulk requests at once, One need not to be Rajinikanth, there is a concept called Mass Approval this can be done by ordinary people like us

First of all, Jwala, Approve another absence you shared above is a java screen and it doesn't work we have customers to disable this in EHP4

You had got Shankar also confused, who had provided you the correct customization

if you are using UWL, check in SWFVISU your parameters for leave request task it should call WDA and not WDJ versions!! There are many posts discussing this, do a  google search first and then paste all your config of swfvisu, MSS screens etc

As indicated to you earlier, POWL and UWL both can be used for approval

it doesn't matter which EP version you are on, You can still use POWL from EHP5 for leave request mass approval.

Check the table V_T7XSSSERLNK, you have specified the confirmation link service key's or not for Link List Key APPROVER_LEAVE_REQUEST

In this service key should be this approval screen.

I have done it but working fine..... but my client is asking me to provide the access to that particular link as said by you i done but can i know how to give access to that link as I have seen in some other threads that is not there now in future it is possible is it so ? let me know the process

Do you want provide Approve Another Absence as separate service link like Create Leave Request, Time Accounts services.

Just you need to configure one service in portal and assign this to MSS role.

Follow the below path for this Leave Approval iview.

Content Administration => Portal Content => Content Provided by SAP => End User Content

=> Employee Self-Service => Iviews => Working Time => Leave Request: Approval

You can add this iview or page to MSS role and access directly.

Not in user Admin, in MSS role you need to add it.

You need to add this, based on the MSS role version which your using as showed in screen shot.

Content Administration => Portal Content => Content Provided by SAP => Line_Manager

=> Manager Self-Service => Roles => Manager Self-Service

Which MSS role your using EHP2/3/4 ?

What ever MSS role your using, right click on that role and open.

Then expand the ESS folder and Navigate to Leave Requests Approval page and right click and add it to MSS role.

In WDABAP MSS role itself there is standard application available for approving the Leaves.

MSS => Workoverview => Time Approval and Task Remainder

Here manager can approve one by one directly or bulk he can approve.
