Values of DSO/Infocube inside the notification email as text

Hi Gurus,

I just want to ask if it is possible to have the details of a DSO/Infocube in the body of the email as text. Base on the contents of the DSO/Infocube, the values will be displayed in notification email. Not as attachment of a report.

Scenario would be this.

I have loaded values in Infoproviders and these values should be emailed to the users as notification that these are the totals based on their input file, as flat file. I need to include the totals inside the email notification.

Thank you in advance.

This is very much appreciated.

    Hi Ethan

I think you can achieve that easier with BW techniques. Create a broadcast on your cube that runs when data changes (you can schedule it this way) and restrict the query to the last request.

Now everytime you load data it executes the broadcast and sends the "just loaded" data result

    hope it helps

    Dear Ethan,

You can achieve this functionality by using small ABAP code which reads data from cube/DSO for the latest request. Once your ABAP is ready you can put that in ABAP Process Type in the process chain which loads data to the info provider just after the completion of loading process. As soon as the data load completes the ABAP process will get executed which will read data of the just loaded request and trigger the mail as per the requirement. There is one function module for sending the mail where you can specify the body of the mail. You can take help from any ABAPer from this or find many WIKIs and threads for achieving this functionality from ABAP.

    Regards
