Alignment in a text object

Hello experts,

I hope you have some suggestions for how to adjust this report so the text will be centered in a box.

A report with a text box has text that is centered in the box. The text has extra space on each side. Making the box smaller only reduces white space between the left side of the box and the text, the right side continues to hold a generous amount of space. The formatting section shows that the font is centered and the second row of text is centered under the first row. It simply isn't centered inside of the box.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Sally

Hi Sally,

Do you mean to say that the horizontal alignment works, however the vertical alignment doesn't?

Unfortunately, CR doesn't support vertical alignment and I can provide the link to the Idea at the Ideas Place for you to Vote too.

If it's not the vertical alignment you're concerned about, please paste a screenshot of the text object.

It's vertical and horizontal. This takes the vertical alignment issue off the table. The horizontal alignment seems to be skewed too the left, but I think you have given me lots of good information. Thank you!

What's the Ideas Place? It sounds interesting.

The Ideas place is an initiative by SAP for the users to post Enhancement to the existing products.

Check out the CR Ideas Place here.

Oh, and while you're at it, you might also want to Vote up for this particular idea - it's the Enhancement Request form some user for the Vertical alignment issue!
