Dear TEAM
I have a group of users who want to be able to automatically generate settlement rules for their projects, which are created using a certain project profile. They are however not the only users using this project profile and it is currently not configured with a settlement rule strategy, that would allow them to automatically generate their settlement rules.
Is there any way I can set them up for automatic settlement rule generation, without changing the existing project profile config and without having them use a different project profile?
I was thinking of creating a project template for them, that housed all of their desired settlement parameters, and they could then copy from that template for all new projects however I cant see anywhere that I can define the settlement rule strategy that would enable automatic settlement rule generation.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance for your expert advice and guidance, Sharon
Hi Sharon,
I think, the BAdI WBS_SETTLEMENT_RULE~DETERMINE_STRATEGY should help. Donot assign the strategy for a project profile, but using the BAdI to determine a strategy dynamically for some users. An inverse way is also thinkable, maintain the strategy for project profile but exclude users using same BAdI.
Kind regards,
Zhenbo

Hi,
Have a dialougue with your Security team and restrict portion of user also creating settlement.
Settlement rule generation access is being provided through transactions CJB2/CJB1. Discuss with security team to delete this transaction from the existing roles of all the users initially.
Then createa test role which contains only these trasactions and test and confirm that new role is properly working. Then assign this single role to select users to generate settlement rules.
Please let me know..
Thanks,
Sudhakar
