Time info-object customization

Hi everybody,

I have a scenario where I need to calculate different kind of times. This include a calendar time and a ISO time that is based upon the ISO Standard Week (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO_week).

In an oracle based situation I could add a column and model the ISO Week upon the lowest granularity column (date).

Unfortunately it looks to me that this is not feasible with the Time Dimension of SAP.

Do you have any ideas how can I accomplish this?

I would avoid to create a new ZTIME DSO with the relevant new dimension... because it would be unconfortable to manage two time dimensions.

Thank you very much

Kind Regards

Yeah, the SAP standard Time dimension will not help you for your requirement.

You have to create custom field in ECC to represent ISO time format. You have to create a similar infoobject in BW side and you can map the ECC field from PSA to this infoobject or to DSO.

Try to get a complete idea about how data will look like format, separators, data type and other properties. After that, you can start customizing.

    Hi

I guess the best way would be creating a DSO loading the ISO Calendar information in it. Then create the necessary cmod variables to derive it from the standard time characteristics and present ISO standard on the fly during query executions

    hope it helps
