Value '0000000 ' of characteristic 0DATE is not a number with 000008 spaces

Hi All,

I have extracted data from r/3 into ODS.But while activating the ODS Data,getiing error as "Value '0000000 ' of characteristic 0DATE is not a number with 000008 spaces ".I do not understand what it is exactly....cany anybody help me pl.

Hi,

Value '0000000' is not at all a valid value for DATE , thats why it giving error.

as anil said its not a valid date first and moreover a date char should have length of 8. the error says it doens't have 8 spaces. looks like u have incorrect entry for only 7 spaces.

Hi Sorry for late reply...

Actually i do not have 0DATE in transfer rules.but 0DATE is as reference object for two other date fields.For all length is 8 only.

Hi,

If the object is built by the concept of reference, Basically it will do all validations for base characterstic(here 0DATE).So you have to change it manually from PSA.

there are more than 1000 records are there.Its very dificult to modify recoed by record.

Hi Murali,

You can put into TRs a formula or ABAP routine which will check if incoming value is '0000000' then replace it by '00000000'.
