Want to prevent the TECHO of maintenance order for future reference dates.

Hi Gurus,

My client has one requirement, while doing the TECHO of maintenance order, the end date that we enter as ref date in techo should not be future. In my present system if I entered the reference date in future for TECHO then system is giving me a warning message but TECHO of that order is possible for future reference date. My client wants that it should be warning message but it should be error message and reference date for TECHO must not be future date. Is this possible in the SAP PM, please guide me for the settings that are required to be done to solve the above issue.

You can use user-exit IWO10004, to prevent the future Reference dates. Take help of technical person to write a code accordingly in the include ZXWO1U03 of this exit.

Here in the message list against IW message no. 586 change the message type W  to E .
