Default gender based on subtype in infotype 0021

Dear Friends,

As per my client requirement, they want to default gender for father and mother. As currently under the head of father, system doesn't stop if we update the gender as female and visa versa.

SO is there a way we can default the same.

You need to add validations as said by Shan, we also done the same kind of vailidations using exit   EXIT_SAPFM50M_001 / 002

Thanks Dinesh and Kedkar... can we do sumtg through dynamic actions .. etc.... rather then engaging an abaper..

Through dynamic actions you can't restrict maintenance.

yes you can put the validation writting any user exit or Badi :HRPAD00INFTY. in this badi you can develop your velidation for IT0021
