Integration of Chatter API with SAPUI5

Hi experts,

I had a requirement in which I had to integrate Chatter API with SAPUI5.

There is a existing dashboard in SAPUI5, I need to add a chat box from Chatter API. Is it possible to integrate both. If possible please do tell the step if not please tell why its not possible.
