How does Version work in COPA

Hello Gurus,

Can anyone provide me some input on version in COPA.I am new to this field so any input will be helpful. Also please help me in corelating version in terms of actuals and forecast.

Hi Kalyan,

The version is just to split between the different planversions in CO-PA. To split between actual and planned values the field WRTTP (on extractor site) is used.

Hallo Kal

the version is usd to separate actual form Planned/Forecast. You have usually version # for actual and then you can have more than version for forecast.That depends from your company. Check with the Controlling Area how many version they have defined.

You can also use the field Type of reporting. Usually value are 10 (actual data) and 20 (planned data) but if you have more then one version then you need the IO Version.

Be caefull with COPA extractor as you have probably moticed that you cannot change it. Only delete and create again once you need to add an addittional field.
