brarchive is being failed

Hi,

we have Oracle 11g and Linux redhat.

We are trying to run /sapmnt/<SID>/exe/brarchive -u / -k yes -d disk -c -sd but it is giving the error message as below.

'CONNECT / AT PROF_CONN IN SYSOPER MODE'
ORA-01031: insufficient privileges
BR0303E Determination of Oracle version failed

BR0280I BRARCHIVE time stamp: 2013-09-06 05.12.44
BR0005I BRARCHIVE terminated with errors

We have tried sap note

Note 776505 - BR*Tools fail with ORA-01017 / ORA-01031 on Linux

but issue is same.

Please help me

Have you perform a system copy or its a fresh installation ?

Hi Ganesh,

Could you check below SAP note

Note 900525 - BRCONNECT fails with ORA-01031 at location BrDdartRead-1

hi Deepak,

We have done the same but issue is still there.

We are able to connect database as below

SQL> connect system as sysoper
Enter password:
Connected.

but bewlo command is not working
SQL> connect / as sysoper
ERROR:
ORA-01031: insufficient privileges


Warning: You are no longer connected to ORACLE.
SQL>

    Looks like some issue with user creation

Additionally check the permission for /usr/lib/oracle

everything is fine. But still we have same issue.
