Dear experts,
I have an issue here. I hope experts can share your idea with me if experts have an experience with my issue before.
Actually our BW system is corrupted on 05.09.2013 and need to be restore but the restore data just at 03.09.2013. The problem is our delta process chain already run on 04.09.2013, this mean if data been restore at 03.09.2013, our BW system will be missing data on 04.09.2013.
My question is, is there a way to retrieve delta data on 04.09.2013?
Hi Azar,
If your today date is 06.09.2013 then not possible thru repeat delta.
You need to run Repair full request with selections based on created date or change date.
other wise with help of source if you find created records/ changed records of 03.09.2013 to 04.09.2013, with those based selections we can load.
if your data source is LO then delete and refill setup tables is mandatory.
Pls name the data source.
Thanks

Hi,
If your delta ran fine on 04.09.2013 and your system has been restore to 03.09.2013 then by running the delta info package now you cannot get data for 04.09.2013. This would take data from last successful delta time stamp that is after 04.09.2013.
You have to run repair full on calendar day selection for missing period i.e. 04.09.2013
Thanks
Kamal

Hi
What you mean with restore? A database restore of BW? If the proceschain ran successful on 4.9 then all delta have been picked up in ECC. If you actually have done a restore of BW to the 3.9 then those documents are gone as they have been picked up in ECC. To be really sure you have properly loaded data into bw you would need a new init for all those datasources.
hope that clarifies
Martin

I got your issue. When the system got corrupted, all your process chains would have been disrupted.
You can try with some things now.
Try to repeat your process chains from the failed steps. If your earlier delta was not loaded to BW, then the system will ask you to repeat delta(if all your data load requests were red in PSA). Just say yes and continue the loads. This will bring 04.09.2013 data.
Suppose if your system doesn't ask you to repeat deltas, then you have to run repair full loads for 04.09.2013 date in the infopackage data selection. After that your regular process chain will need to be scheduled.
What was the main reason behind this corruption in ECC side? Please rectify it first and then follow all my above steps.
