Substitution Infotype 2003

Hello all,

I have a situation where in if an employees goes on Short Term Disability and comes back to work with reduced hours of working per week - I want to record their reduced hours in the system without changing the planned working time IT 0007.

I was thinking of using the IT 2003, but not sure if that would help me accomplish the requirement. Is there way i could create a Substitution Info Typ record that would not affect IT 0007.

Regards - Ravi

Yes, a substitution (via IT2003) allows you to change the Daily Work Schedule without affecting the employee's IT0007.

    Hi Ravi,

You can achive this in two ways:

    01. In IT0007, you can put a tick on "part time employee" field. which will reduce the hours according to the daily work schdule. for an example: if your daily work schdule is 8 hrs then this will be reduce in to 4 hrs.

    02. As u said, you can maintained IT2003, where you can assigned daily work schdule (reduced daily work schdule should be exist in the system) you can see my screen shot.

for an example, you have a daily work schdule for saturday which is 5 hrs. then you can assign that daily work schdule for the given period. then system will consider IT2003 only for given period (from start date to end date), you dont need to chnage IT0007.

try both way and deside which one will be suitable for your requirement.

    Regards,

    Dinesh

      Hi,

It's again upto your configuration wether it should effect your quota accrual or not.

I give you one example: now let's say employee suppose to work from 9.00 to 17.00 according to IT0007. But you have maintained IT2003 for a given period that employee has to work only from 9.00 to 12.30. In this case, if employee worked until 14.30. Are you going to pay overtime for 2 hrs?

These kind of exception case like overtime, quota accrual etc.. you need to indetify and which can be managed via PCR ( I hope your in positive time)

      Regards,

      Dinesh
