Cannot connect to server in the "Create Connection" screen.

Hello,

I'm having trouble connecting one of our users to our production server (or dev server for that matter) in the "Create Connection" screen via EPM. In the "Server URL:" text box I should be able to simply type in the the URL: http://servername/sap/bpc and click the "Connect" box to tap into the environments on that server, but it's prompting me for a user name and password when I click "Connect." We do not use usernames/passwords anywhere in our set-up. It's all single sign-on.

Any ideas?

Also, we have a 60 user set-up, and this is the only time this has occured. I've set up this same connection many times.

Thanks,

Jason Cobb

    Hi Jason,

Reinstall the BPC client tool of users machine and try. Also check necessary authorizations.

    Hope this helps.

First try to uninstall and reinstall.

If the issue is not resolved, ensure you have adequate rights in the pc.

Also ensure all the dependant software for EPM excel is in place your computer including MS parser 6.0

Have you tried to login in the web link from internet and navigate to the excel option and try if it is working?

    Hi Jason,

Try launching the excel interface from web admin console and see if you are able to.
