    Amir,

What Luke and Dinesh have said is absolutely right, you can not implement PA and PD saperately, even if you did, the two modules will have very limited value, as Luke and Dinesh have said, OM has a major support for these modules, the only object in OM that connects both the modules is S (Position), hence with out a valid structure in OM you can not have PA and PD implemented and even if you did, it will be of no use.

Unfortunately Amir, the answer is: with difficulty!

The PD framework is based on OM, so it's not really possible without having at least a basic OM framework implemented.

    Best regards,

    Luke

    Hi Amir,

    I totally agree with Luke.

You did not mentioned what is your maximum expectation from PD module? also few more explaination.

OM consist objects like O-Org unit, S-Position, C-Job etc. which is the skeleton for other modules like PD/ESS/MSS/LSO/PMS/E-recruitement and Talent management. most of the objects (P,O,C,K,Q etc.) are assigned to Position (some of the objects can assigned to Job but that will be inherit to the position as well)

lets say now your implemeting PD and obviously you will have the qualification catalog and where you will have qualificaton group QK and qualification Q. this qualification become as requirment for the position /Job via the relationship 031.

Now, without having OM module how you can do this assgnment? how we can go ahead? how we can do the profile matchup? how we can identify the requirement gap?

when you take other module like ESS/MSS/LSO how emplyee's can identify their supervisors for leave/ training ?

So, OM module is base for all other modules to make smooth your business process as well as for the future roll out process.

    i hope u will understand

    Regards,

    Dinesh

    Omid and Luke

you could both be correct, you see this is all the tometo tomato that SAP come out with every other month, that it is getting to a level where it is really confusing, write now people do not know left from write in SAP, here in Spain some people refer to Om as PD, since PD is all about objects, so far I got the proposal to participate in this project and the highlights that it is only this 2 model, the other probability is since it is a Global implementation, and the first roll out is all ready gone live, there for they got the global OM done and no further work required in OM a part from PD objects (that is just me guessing), but this point will be cleared in next week meeting, I will keep you guys posted.

by the this my first time using this site, and I find it very whelming in terms of the over support, thanks to all of you again and look forward to collaborating with you in the near future.

    kind regards
