Xcelsius 2010 version 6 File Corrupted

Former Member

Hi,

I am working with Xcelsius 2010 version 6 and for some reasons that I don't understand, my files get corrupted without me touching them.

I had a file that was working fine on Friday and today, when I try to update it, it does not work.

The signs that tell me the file is corrupted is that when I try to add a new tab by clicking on the + sign, a space is being cleared for the tab, but no tab is showing.  It shows that I just added a tab in the Object Browser, but there is no trace of it on my Workspace.

I have added print scrrens of what I am saying to show you.

Everything else seems to be working fine, but if I want to continue developping my dashboard, I need to find an earlier version and redo everything I did in between. This is really not productive.

Has this happened to anyone? Do you know what causes this? Is there a fix to this problem?

Thank you very much.

Annick

Hi Annick,

Seems Your excel sheet is corrupted,

If you get this error "Could not connect to Excel. To prevent further data corruption, the program must close."

Then, Goto task manager and view the "processes" tab.  Kill the "Excel" process and then attempt to restart the dashboard.

If the same occurs,  repeat the step above and run the Dashboards as admin.

Hi Ganesh,

Unfortunately, when I click on the + sign to add a new tab, it creates an empty space. There is no trace of the tab  in the blank spot it creates. So when I try to access that component, it brings the properties of the higher level tab (in my case - Staffing). So no, I cannot change the name of the tab at the canvas level. It is not even showing in the Object Browser section.

Thanks.
