Debugging transfer and update rules - Remote Cube

Hi all,

Can anyone tell me how we can debug transfer and update rules for a Remote cube. In a general cube/ODS we go to the monitor->data packet and then simulate the update and debug transfer/update rules or routines. Since there is no loading of data in a remote cube, so no monitor view - how can we debug transfer and update rules?

Hi

you can use 2 way's:

1. put in the code an infinite loop and then

run the load, you can then go to SM50 and start the

debug session that will send you to the loop, where

you can exit the loop from the debug window.

2. use simulation.

go to a load that used PSA.

fo to the 'Details' tab.

go to the 'Processing' node->'Data Package' and right

click->'Simulate Update'

there chose 'Activate Debug in ...' which ever u want.

Hi Sabrina,

As far as I remember, there are no TRs and URs for a remote cube, just a source system assignment.

Correction: There are TRs if you use remote cube build on a infosource.
